All the other tloll free numbers that I tried failed, too. Calls to other numbers are working. Now there are three of us. I hope that the problem gets fixed soon.
What is your area code. Don't list your complete number, just your area code.

Besure to contact Ooma Customer Service with your Ooma phone number, report your problem.
Be sure to report that other Ooma customers can call the same 8xx national phone numbers that you can't reach.

IMPORTANT UPDATE

Just called support line to get an update on my ticket, and there is some interesting info.
The report was as follows:
1) The issue has been found to relate to Caller ID blocking - and my setting was indeed set to block my caller ID on outgoing calls. We switched off that feature, rebooted the Ooma Telo, and lo and behold, ALL 800 #s went through first try, no issue(!)

2) In addition, it was reported that even with the caller ID blocking active, if you wait 5-10 seconds after the fast busy, the call apparently does connect (I never tried this and still haven't)

So there you go - short-term solution is turn off caller ID blocking, reboot Telo, and then you should all be able to complete the 1-800/866/877/888 calls. Ticket is still open as engineering is trying to figure out why this suddenly occurred, as we still should be able to have caller ID blocking active and connect toll free calls.

Hope that helps some of you

ehl1, thank you for updates. I just tried your suggestion to wait after busy signal and worked. I did not ublock my caller ID.

Wow, I just tried the waiting 10 seconds after busy tone, and shockingly it works! I did not have to reset the power on my phone.

Thanks for the suggestion.

805 area code user . . . add me to the list of those with the 800 # dialing problem.

Tried an 800 number and got the fast busy signal, after 5-10 seconds, it did go through, as was suggested by an earlier poster. Will try removing caller ID blocking and see if that also helps solve the problem.

I'm also having the 8xx issue (and have caller ID blocking enabled). I found that if I hang on the line during the fast busy signal, it does connect after about 5 seconds.
