Can I shut down my ooma for an extended period of time?

I will be gone from home for about 4 weeks, and would like to turn off my ooma for that time to save power (and it's not needed anyway).
Is it safe to just unplug it for that time, and will I be able to re-connect without issues when I come back?
My only concern is that maybe ooma could disable my account if the device is not online for that long. Is this the case, or is there no issue?

I hope someone from the ooma team can confirm what will happen.

Thanks a lot!

Yes. Every once and a while ill go visit my family a few states over from any amount from 3 days to 3-4 weeks. When i leave, I just unplug the device. I have forwarding enabled so any calls will still forward to my cell. When i get back i plug it back in and in a few seconds-minutes im connected again.

I would take it with me if I knew there would be a high speed internet connection available.

there is no real need to take it with you if you have a cell phone, just have it forward to it and unplug the hub.

I have cell phone service that is just local to me. If I were traveling ooma would be free.

I will be out of the country, ooma won't help me much.

Well, if you have a place to plug in you can call home for free.
If you wanted to lug a piece of equipment around with you, that is....

One month, no problem.

Thanks, Dennis!

Wayne, no, I won't need to call anybody in the US during that time. Maybe a couple 5 minute calls max, and it's 2 cents a minute to call the US from where I will be, and I won't even have to pay for that. So no, not worth it in this case. Thanks for the tip, though, anyway.

I'll just unplug my ooma for that time.

You say one month, no problem. Is there a time limit?

Also if the hub is 'portable' would I be able to receive incoming calls on my hub? If I'm in Orlando, vacationing and some one calls my home number will it ring in on the hub in Orlando?
I know that high speed internet is required no matter where I am.
