announcements after caller leaves message

New to Ooma and Google Voice Extensions. If I do not pick up an incoming call, after the caller leaves a message, I hear several repeats of "to mark this message as read, press 7 or to keep it as new, press 9" then "sorry you are having trouble, try calling back later." Is there any way to avoid these announcements? Generally if I choose to not answer the call it's because I'm otherwise engaged in something that requires my undivided attention and the announcements are quite distracting/annoying. Any advice would be appreciated.

That doesn't sound like Ooma VM system....If you are setup with GVE, see about these settings: viewtopic.php?t=13663#p95132
