Are you dialing 7 digit phone numbers with 10 digit dialing enabled? If you are, after dialing the 7th digit dial a # to let the unit know that there won't be any more numbers.

Thanks, murphy. I' try that.

Actually, I have tried with and without 10 digit dialing checked, and could not notice a difference. But will try again.

What do most people use? 10 digit on or off?

I actually never dial only 7 numbers. Around here we always have to dial the area code. So 10 digit dialing is normal. I don't see any difference between having 10 digit dialing turned on or off.

The delay after dialing varies. Now I just wait. Have not had the fast busy signal for a couple days. I can live with that. But there was no delay during my first couple months, so something must have changed.

It has been a long time and may have changed but it used to be with 10 digit dialing turned off you either had to dial 7 digits or 11 digits. I have always had 10 digit dialing enabled because my area switched to 10 digit dialing about 25 years ago.

Bernie G, correct. Enabling 10-digit dialing doesn't do anything in your case.

Starting this morning (around 8 AM) I am not able to call out through my Telo. There is no "dial tone." I have also noticed that incoming calls do ring, but when answering the call there is nothing.

Had another problem about a month ago. That got resolved, but now this problem.

Try a power cycle. Then if still no dialtone try hooking up a different phone and check wires are firmly fitted. If then still no dialtone the phone port may have gone bad.

Yes, the reboot seemed to do the job. Should have thought of that myself

I have not had any problems lately. Still occasional delays after dialing, but no busy signals.
Thanks again, Tom.

TomB:

I'm still having this problem (post from previous page). After a while, no outgoing!

Rebooting fixes it "for a while", then it occurs again. I'm in New Hampshire if that helps.
