I also have Panasonic cordless phones using Ooma. I have the phone answering system pick up, and get this 3-4 second dialtone before the phone hangs if someone hangs up without leaving a message (usually spam calls). Perhaps this could be fixed on my Ooma?

Hi Tom,

Just wondering if you can please enable this option for me as well on my telo. I'd greatly appreciate it.

I also have a Panasonic phone system, what would be the best setting for it?

Thanks!

Thanks Tom. It works perfectly.

Just had a couple questions.

Will I be able to change this setting if it gets reverted back to default? Also, did you change the disconnect time to 900ms or 1500ms?

Thanks again!

Folks. I noticed this too, and so I disabled voicemail monitoring, and that fixed it. Do the following:

1. Log into 'My Ooma'
2. Click 'Preferences', then 'Voicemail'
3. You'll see a small checkbox in the middle of the page called 'Enable Voicemail Monitoring'
4. Uncheck the box.
5. Be sure to hit 'Save' at the bottom.

Please, if you find that this fixed your issue, please tell folks that 'SpecialSauce' helped you out.

Also, ask Ooma for a 'Whitelist'. Trust me, you'll love it.

Madgc8, the default is 650ms. Currently this value can only be changed at a low level and it will reset to 650ms upon reboot.

Once again, I am getting a 3-4 second dial tone using Ooma with my Panasonic cordless phones. I usually let phone calls go to my phone's answering machine. If someone then hangs up without leaving a message (usually a spam call) I get a 3-4 second dial tone before Ooma hangs up. Could you please fix this again on my Ooma?
Thanks!

My ancient 4 line Panasonic cordless phone does this consistently with a Verizon landline.
