Do I need Caller ID from Phone Company

I'm still waiting for the porting process to be completed. OOMA told me I had to remove the distinctive ring first and the phone company removed everything, including the caller ID. Is this going to be a problem when it gets ported over? Or, am I just in the gray area?

It will not be a problem.
