I have block name, contains, Anony (copied and pasted from the call record) - but it doesn't work.
What am I doing wrong?
(also tried equals full word and starts with part word)

The anonymous block is when the anonymous bit is set in the call transaction data. It has nothing to do with the caller ID name.

Fine --
But why doesn't this block a caller that uses a CID of Anonymous??
(exactly what the block filter says - block a name containing Anony)
The filter input automatically upper cases input - so not a matter of case.

There is a separate option to enable anonymous call block.

"Anonymous" means there is no actual Caller ID name/number for any blocking rule to match against. The hardware/software on the receiving end generates any text that shows up in the Caller ID display (or call logs, etc.), after the call has connected.
