Cordless phone and hd3

I use ooma for many years. I have a Telo base unit connected to a cordless phone base station. I just added a hd3. I cannot figure out how to work both together. I have no idea how to have the hd3 join in a call if it was pickup by the cordless, or have the cordless join in an ongoing call on the hd3.

HD3 - check the soft keys for a join call label.
cordless - Take the phone off hook and then press the flash key on the phone.

I don't have an HD3 but that is the way the HD2 works.

You instructions worked only partially. Now I can have the cordless joined the HD3. The HD3 can join the cordless but no sound coming through. Talked to tech support. Wasted an hour. She had me resync the hd3 and reboot the telo. Never called back since I was on the telo and had to hang up. She had my ooma and cell numbers. Hate to call tech support again and repeat the whole story. So far hd3 is a unless piece of equipment.

Premiere subscribers can choose which line to join, either from their HD3 handset, or from the telephone connected to their Telo.

However, non-Premiere subscribers don't have a second line. If the second handset doesn't automatically join the existing call, then maybe they are out of luck.

I have the same problem...

Answer the call with a cordless phone - and then I can't grab my HD3 handset to take over the call.

makes no sense...

From the HD3 Quick Start Guide:
You can join an existing call-in-progress by picking up an unused handset and pressing [the 'Answer' key]. Press the 'Join' soft key and then select the line you wish to join.
The 'Answer' key is the one with the upright green handset icon.
