Connecting a Telo with Philips Lifeline

Post by chiefjim » Thu Feb 10, 2022 5:51 am

Searching the forum postings refer to the HUB which is no longer current hardware. Looking for suggestions regarding setup of a Philips Lifeline with Ooma Telo for a residence that does not also have POTS.

It looks like the basic system would just plug into the Telo phone jack, like a regular telephone.

Concern is the Telo already has a Panasonic home wireless system connected. Is the port strong enough to handle a splitter?

Ooma describes how to connect a Telo to "phone jacks throughout your home", and how to use splitters for devices like answering machines, fax machines, and DSL modems. So, it's strong enough for that.

It also looks like the Philips Lifeline has its own phone jack to plug a telephone into, without using a splitter. In that case, the Telo probably wouldn't have to handle both devices at the same time.
