Unable to leave complet message to correspondant

I'm using a Ooma phone for a number of years now and I've been having a new kind of problem since about a year.

Sometimes, when I'm trying to leave a message to someone, the communication drops after a minute (and my message is then incomplete).

I really don't know what to think about this situation. Could the correspondent phone system "think" that no one is connected? Why would something like this happen at all?

Very strange.

I tried to have Ooma help me on this but they said that they were not the cause of the problem, that I should check with my correspondent about this...

If the issue only occurs when leaving a voicemail, but not during an actual call, then it is likely a problem with the receiving carrier.
