Tone/Pulse Dialing.

Post by Steelspecialist » Wed Mar 03, 2010 12:21 pm

I have noticed no matter who I am trying to call be it At&t, Pizza hut, or even Ooma support when it says press 1, 3 ,9 etc.. No matter how many times I hit it, mash it, hold it down a number key it seems to not go thru and just repeats until it goes to default customer service or hangs up on me. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Ooma only supports tone dialing. Pulse dialing will not work. Make sure that your phone is set for tone dialing.

I have tried with 3 diffrent phones now. (only 2 diffrent styles though) and although both are on Tone. It still will not accept when I try to hit keys during a call.

I dial fine, there is no issue there. Just when I am trying to say dial an extention.

The automatic attendant at ooma's support number is really oldschool technology and frankly, lame. It will not accept tones while the lady is speaking. Wait until she is done and I'll bet it will accept your tones just fine.

I am experiencing this as well. I've tried a couple different services : conferenc line, support number and v-mail. I can tone dial to them; however, I cannot select prompts by dialing. Just started today and I thought it might be something with the cable internet service just installed tonight. I plan to call OOMA in the morning.

Just a point of reference but DTMF works for me with the service I just tested.
