Outgoing message won't change?

I tried to change the personal greeting on my secondary number connected to the scout(I changed it successfully on the main number tied to the hub). I followed the prompts, it says it changed successfully, if you listen to the new message with the prompts, you hear the new message. If someone calls, it plays the old message. I waited for an hour and tried again, still plays the old message. Checking in the voicemail prompts, it still shows the new message. Am I doing something wrong?

Did you go through the voicemail set-up wizard to record your personal greeting on the Scout? Can you check to see if that voicemail account is setup for a greeting type of "personal"? You can find this in the "settings" voicemail menu if you pick up the phone and press the play button (or just dial your own phone number).

yup. i have reported this maybe 4 months ago..never fixed...

I just gave up on it and still have "The person you have dialed cant take you call right now..."

Seems like this was never narrowed down, if this can be fixed then great.

It would be helpful if Ooma support put links to the location of voicemail set-up wizard within their replies. Where is this located? Only on the scout or also the main unit? I don't really need the scout but would like to set-up a new outgoing message for the phone service. When I run a search query on "voicemail wizard" only this forum post returns.

Sorry about my original post. It was totally my fault. Dennis hit the nail on the head. I was attempting to change a personal greeting when, in fact, my voicemail was set up for a generic greeting. I really love this service! With all of the helpful info in these forums, it gives the feeling of belonging to a large "family".
