OT - 8.9 Earthquake in Japan

By now most of you have heard that there was a very major 8.9 magnitude earthquake in Japan that generated a tsunami that has devastated several coastal towns and may cause damage in even some US cities like Crescent City, OR. Reuters is placing the preliminary death count at more than 1000 - but that could rise.

If you are a person of faith, please consider praying for those who are stranded, injured, or are trying to rescue those who are.

If you have resources, please consider giving to the Salvation Army (who has a branch in Japan) or the American Red Cross. There will be a continuing need for outside assistance and it is always a blessing to bless others who are in distress.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this catastrophe.

Telecommunication lines are overloaded and costs have skyrocketed, but we have opened up free calling to Japan for the next week so Ooma users can contact their friends and family in Japan. We are seeing more than 75% call failures right now, so if you can't get through, please keep trying.

2 thumbs way up to Ooma!
