Can't reach 830-459 NPA-NNX

Hi,

I am a new (2 week) customer of Ooma. I live in Austin, TX and have family in Kerrville, TX. All of the family out there has FiveStar (aka West Central) cell phones. I cannot connect on calls to this FiveStar 830-459 area code and exchange. It rings a couple of times and goes silent. Any ideas? Something I'm doing wrong? I love Ooma, but if I can reach my family then this thing is going back... :(

Jeeves, First of all welcome to Ooma and to the forum.

I do believe you need to make a call to Ooma support. It sounds like a routing problem and it has to be repaired by Ooma.

I had a similar problem and they fixed it, Ooma just needs to be aware of it.

Besides contacting Ooma Customer Support, try the following:
Can your family members reach you using their FiveStar cell phones. If not, have those family members call FiveSar and report that they can't reach a known working phone number (your Ooma phone number).

Since you are new to Ooma, you have a trial period of use of Ooma Premier for two months. If you haven't set up your second Line 2 phone number in My Ooma, do so. Then try calling with Line 2.

Thanks for your replies! (saw typos in my original post, looks like I need to slow down, sheesh!! grin...)

I used on the online chat support, they referred me Customer Support. Called them, they had me try a *98 then the 830-459 number, workaround. That worked so CS said it must be a routing issue of some sorts. CS said they would have it corrected within 24 hours... I'm impressed!! If this works then happy wife and happy life!!!

Thanks,
J
