I am almost sure this has been discussed before but if ooma could come out with a softphone like VonageTalk (http://alpha.vonage.com/vtalk) it would be great for travel. I do believe VonageTalk is open source so if someone could take it apart and repackage and make it work with ooma...

We're working on a mobile softphone client right now, but right now it's just in the prototype stage. We've been doing some internal testing on a mobile softphone client and it has worked pretty well so far.

Is there any ETA yet? And if Ooma needs anyone to test it in the "real world" I'm always available.

Keep in mind, if Ooma deploys their SoftPhone in the flavor of Ooma app, US calling would be at 1.9 cents/min (2 cents/min after FUSF). You'd get 250 min/month free if Premier.
