In January's blog the new HD2 handset with color screen and added features was announced for March. We're now half way through April. What is the status of this handset?

No revised estimate yet. Heard things are progressing okay though.

It is fairly common to have delays with technology. I always think a delayed product is better then a broken product. I am guessing that Ooma is making sure they deliver a great new product. I am looking forward to the new handset. I was about to get new cordless phones for my home when I heard about the Ooma handsets. I decided to wait and see what Ooma delivers. I hope its worth the wait.

Unfortunately, we don't have an updated release date yet.

As a longtime Ooma customer, and new telo owner I too was interested in this phone since I refuse to touch the current handset with the vast amount of negative reviews. Looking at the blog post, this appears to have been delayed until Fall 2012.
Update: We’re targeting to release the Ooma HD2 Handset in Fall 2012.

Why doesn't ooma just make an app for tablet/smart phone tethering? IMO, just being able to anwer a call from your cell phone on your regular phone is stupid... what would be better is having access to the second line (premier) with a bluetooth app (could even have both functions) so you dont' have to use cell minutes/data.

Why pay $100+ for a handset when you have a smartphone or tablet?!? crazy.. ooma's supposed to be about saving money, not speding more money. Before you know it.. ooma costs as much as Vonage & the rest.

It's been over a month since you said you had no update...do you still have no update? Was it a bug that hung up the release, or an added feature that Marketing wanted to stuff into a new beta?

Officially, moved to fall of 2012: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=13154&start=30#p96521

Just ran into more bugs than anticipated; good that Ooma is taking some time; don't want to release a buggy product.
