fraud practices and scam

Post by ritsjain » Fri Jun 07, 2019 5:11 pm

The terrible ratings on BBB are accurate. I have been charged ~ $5.43 for the last 24 months by Ooma, even though I had canceled my service. This is a fraudulent method that they are employing systematically. The internet forums are full of similar complaints. Their way of scamming the consumer is to keep charging the credit card after cancellation. Most people cannot get them to cancel these charges for years even after repeated calls. Most of these consumers eventually have to cancel their credit cards to get rid of this scam. When I called them today Ooma customer representative only agreed to refund 2 months of charges even though they defrauded me for 24 months. It remains to be seen if this problem goes away. The first 7 complaints on BBB have this exact nature of fraud described in 5 of the cases. Stay away from these criminals.
