I've been using the blacklisting feature for about 6 months now, and have been quite satisfied - very few calls.
Yes, that is a ploy. I had to blacklist my own number years ago.

I should mention that I was getting server error messages for about a week whenever I tried to get to the Ooma.com site. I see now that the website has gone through a big makeover after the launch of the IPO. But, I had no problem using My Ooma Beta during that time.

Getting lots more junk calls lately, just two so far today. Neither of them shows up in the call log, even though our phone rang several times each. In fact the lastest calls that appear in the log are from yesterday. That' wrong.

Both could've been blocked with blocking by name. This time they both had the same number, but the names were different, each starting with "V" followed by a long string of random digits. Here's where regular expressions would help. I have legitimate callers who start with "V". But they don't look like "V6378100690185924".

2 garbage calls within 9 minutes of each other, and the workday's just half over!

I just got a call from "55221144", the number and name are the same. This is clearly an invalid number. Why does Ooma route these? It's impossible to block all invalid numbers personally. Even if there were a sufficient number of entries available, life is literally not long enough to accomplish it.

Today, I've gotten a couple junk calls (before 10AM). One was from this number: "174" the Caller ID Name was "+174".

Why does Ooma route these calls?

I am now getting two hangup calls per-day. Caller ID shows they're from all over the country, probably spoofed. Is anything to be done (by anyone) about this?

We have the option to block callers who do not show caller ID. I would like to see that expanded to cover mal-formed caller IDs.

The spoofed numbers that entertain me are the ones that show the location name and also and out of state area code. Almost all of the garbage calls I receive are blocked by either myself, ooma, or NoMoRobo, but, as I have my cell linked to ooma, I will get just one ring on the cell and none on the ooma when they are blocked. Don't know how they manage that, but consequently I don't answer any calls on the first ring.

You added block by name, made it flexible and easy to use! Many thanks!
