Linx with internal battery backup

Post by redchev1 » Fri Feb 16, 2018 2:21 pm

How about a version of Linx with built in battery backup?
Many of us use an external ups for our Telo, and internet/wifi hardware to maintain service during power outages. Of course the HD2 handsets are already battery operated too. Adding internal backup batteries to Linx would keep other devices such as regular desk phones functioning too.

I have a decent-size UPS for my computer and networking hardware, including router, Telo and Linx.

My Linx is located in a different part of the house from the other hardware with UPS so internal battery backup would be handy.

More than one UPS can be installed in a house. I have 10 of them plus a whole house backup generator. The UPSs keep the power on until the generator starts and comes on line.
