calling a contact with multiple numbers via alexa

It appears that using Alexa to call a contact by name who has a home and a mobile number does not allow specifying which of the two numbers to call. Why have the contacts provide multiple numbers for a contact if only one can be called? We should be able to say "Alexa ask ooma to call John Doe mobile" or "John Doe home". Any plan to improve the Alexa skill to do this?
