From what I've read on the forum, only the older hub & scout will not pass incoming DTMF. The new Telo hardware will (or will soon) allow incoming DTMF, so using a POTS answering machine should be possible.

I see "mass confusion".

The more I read, the more confused I get :?

I also agree whole heartedly with those that have said the changes are all abrupt and all happened overnight. It causes anger and frustration. Marketing could have thought all of this out a little bit better.

Sorry I was unclear. The hub will remain with the same engineering constraints as it has today (or yesterday). No internal changes are planned as far as what has been released by ooma engineering. But the hub may be repackaged in a wrapper that does not offer voicemail as part of the free deal. Also remember that the statement you have quoted from me was written at a time when things were still in flux. I think there may still be further clarification coming. :cool:

Yesterday I was a huge ooma fan. Now I think they're a bunch of scamming bastards. My work involves helping residential and small business users with their computers and other technology. I *will not* be recommending ooma to anyone I know.

I can forgive and be a fan again if they do the right thing and honor their original deal that was offered to me.
Thank you ooma, you've done the right thing. I was able to easily order Premier for $99 the other night.
