How to take apart Telo

Anyone know how to open up their Telo device?

Months back, someone pulled a cable and their Telo wound up in several pieces on the floor. So I know that it can be done - but I don't recall if their unit ever worked after that. I would think that Groundhound is on the right track. Since there are no user serviceable parts inside, why would you want to even open it?

I have a bad speaker. It crackles like the connection is loose. Ooma sent me a replacement device but its used, an older model, and is scratched. I'd rather keep the one I have. I'm pretty good with taking things apart but there are no visisble/obvious screws to take it appear. From those photos it looks like the speaker is mounted to the case and has leads to the motherboard. This is what I was hoping for. I didnt' want it to be soldered onto the board.

I'll still wait to see if someone knows how to open it.

From what I know about the integrity of ooma, they would not want you to have a replacement that was not in great condition. Why not email one of the moderators like ntoy or Bobby B and see what they can do first. The folks at ooma are top-notch and they view customer satisfaction as a very high priority. Older model is not a problem because it will recieve the latest firmware update - but cosmetically, your replacement under warranty should not look like it was dropped by that fellow I mentioned in my reply - it should LOOK NEW even if it is refurbished.

Mine telo broke loose, but motherboard pieces perfectly intact. Just need help knowing where the loose cable as seen in the picture should go. On one end it is snuggly fit into the motherboard and the other end is designed, perhaps, to be loose and have no corresponding part to which it attaches

I've never had one apart, but just guessing that it is the speaker.

Good pic of the speaker. I may try to find a replacement since Ooma doesn't stand by their devices.
