We are very pleased with the level of service and support to date from Ooma. There is one additional feature that we fell should be added regarding call forwarding. We own properties outside of the US in a few different countries and travel there often. We would like to be able to forward our US based number via the multi ring feature to our home phone number that we have for the country we are residing in or at least to our mobile number based there. Can Ooma investigate the possibilities of what is required to do this? We have many friends in these countries that would like to purchase an Ooma if this feature was available. :D

Knowing how the Public Switched Telephone Network works, the cost and the connection for this type of call from Ooma's standpoint would be the same as if your US number had called the international number. They'd probably have to charge you as if you had made that international call for every call that was answered on the international number. Are you still interested in this feature if you have to pay per call and per minute?

Yes. The additional charge would not be an issue. If we were not at home and the call went to our mobile number then it would work as we desire.

Since you're willing to pay for the calls, you don't have to wait for Ooma. You can work with a DID provider that sells US numbers that ring to your country and rent a US DID (phone number). Have the DID provider set the DID to ring to your international mobile number. Then you just add that DID number as a multi-ring number and calls will ring on your international mobile too.
