Incoming ability is supposed to come later this year. Communicate with home station means My Ooma functions?

How to communicate to home station (Ooma Telo) if using the same phone number? Or does the iphone app have a function to communicate with home station (Ooma Telo)?

Using the iphone app, you can actually call home. Calling home and any other ooma number would be free.

As of now, you'd also need to have a prepaid balance regardless of whether you are Premier or not. Premier subscribers get 250min free each month. Otherwise, the regular 1.9 cents/min within US (with FUSF, it is 2 cents/min).

Receiving calls is said to be planned for a future release.

Again they release a product that's not ready for release! Imagine if other companies did that.

Come buy the new Ford Oomigosh! It will stop on a dime, and negotiate city corners at 50 mph. Currently this requires a downhill run; we plan to make an engine and transmission available in a future release.

We at General Electric welcome our new customers for the all-new TeloRange. This new counter-top range is the easiest electric stove to keep clean that industry has ever produced! Just wipe it off with your hand; it will never burn you. Nor will it ever burn your food! These features may be modified in next year's models, which will have cooking surfaces that actually heat up. Buy now!

Enjoy absolutely smashing photos of distant astronomical objects with the new HUBble TELOscope! Now in orbit [this would be a 1990 ad], this machine is designed to produce a view of space better and more detailed than anything previously known! And there's more; next year, or the year after, we intend to install lenses and mirrors that will enable it actually to take pictures that are IN FOCUS! [Note -- this is historical truth.]

Me, I'll just wait until it all works. Thanks very much.

ooma posts a small $1 balance in your account when you activate your iPhone application. For me, it is great to have a way to call out when I have WiFi. They are very clear about the system features - I like the fact that call quality is great and I get 250 minutes a month for free. Even more than that if you count the free calls to the home ooma system. How many cell plans have service for 2 cents a minute. For example, name one company that gives you a plan that includes 1650 minutes (250 free + 1400 @ $0.02) per month for $28.00 - I'll go with them in a heartbeat. Of course that comparison is with Premier which itself is a great bargain. If you don't have premier the cost would be $33.00.
