Thanks Bobby, this Basic 1000 min plan was a great move by Ooma. I have Vonage and iTalkBB friends coming across to Ooma.

Seems like the ad campaign to attract international community is on!

Chinese

Pilipino

BTW, that map of Philippines looks awfully like the Chinese one :)

Then of course, the English catch all.

I purchased the international bundle and I have some question:

How do I check how many minutes I have left for a given period?
Is the 9.99/month recurring or do I have to keep signing up for it?
If it's recurring how do I opt out if I don't want it anymore?

The charge is recurring and you'd need to call Customer Service to cancel.
This post covers those questions and more: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=9033#p63245

As for min balance, for now, the only way is to listen to the minutes/balance announcement before call connects.

But improvement suggestions for the prepaid activity have been made including running $ balance, charge history; looks like min balance would be a good idea too.

hi, i'm Steve, i just switched from vonage to ooma (porting on the 15th of nov) added premeir cause i liked the idea of the second line on the headset (have a teenage daughter)and some of the other options.

i was wondering about the minutes in the international bundle.
somewhere , i can't rememberr where i read something aboutt he minutes being rolled over each month if you don't use them. is this true??
Also, if you get a bundle (500 minute) are all calls after it bulk rate? and if not could you please explain what is?

thank you Steve

Welcome to Ooma. The plan minutes don't rollover. The good news is that unlike cell phone overage minutes, plan overage minutes are cheap at pennies per min. For Premier, bulk rate is only at play with the 1000 min plan. With this plan, any minutes not included in the plan is at bulk rate.

Is the prepaid activity kept for rolling 90 days?

My AUG, SEP, and some OCT activities are no longer visible.
