Hello! Strange thing...I have blacklisted a number but it continues to leave a 2 second message every time they call. From the first they were one to hang up w/out leaving a message. Before I blacklisted them it would show up in the call log, now they don't show up in the call log but they still leave a 2 second message on the voicemail.
So how do I keep them from hanging up, leaving a 2 second message on my voicemail?
Thank you in advance,
BD

Re: Blacklist
In your Preferences, you can set Blacklisted calls to something other than "Send to Voicemail". I have my Blacklisted numbers set to "Continuous Ring". They hear the ring, I hear nothing . . . and it doesn't allow them to leave a voicemail.

Re: Blacklist
Oh, yeah, thanks. I had the community blacklist to get the call blocked message and the personal blacklist sent to voicemail. Now they both get the call blocked messasge.:>)
Re: Blacklist
I have a problem with my blacklist settings resetting to "send to voicemail".
I suggest checking your settings periodically to make sure they stay set to your choices. I am awaiting a resolution to this issue now (2nd attempt).
This is probably related to the fact that "MY Ooma Dashboard" is still in "beta" but I sure hope they get it pinned down soon.

I've noticed that everytime I log back in to my settings, the community blacklist is set back to 'unchecked' even after I have saved it as 'checked' the previous time.jcs wrote:I have a problem with my blacklist settings resetting to "send to voicemail".

Re: Blacklist
I just posted the same question. I have now sent an email to support as well. It's very odd that it happens on my two units.
Re: Blacklist
Check your privacy preferences. If you have anonymous call block enabled; anonymous calls sent to voicemail and the calling party blocks their ID they will be able to leave a message and their number won't show in your call log but their number will show in voicemail.now they don't show up in the call log but they still leave a 2 second message on the voicemail.

Re: Blacklist
I contacted Ooma support on my two Telos having community blacklisting that keeps turning off. Their response said that I needed to clear my cache on my web browser. Are they kidding me?
Well here we are just a couple days later and they were both unchecked again today. Does anyone else have this issue still happening?

Re: Blacklist
Probably when Ooma Telo Firmware version 50832 or later is pushed out, this problem will be resolved?
I see where powering off the Ooma device for 20 minutes and and then repowering has helped a few people. Then reset your settings. Powering off for twenty minutes allows the Ooma servers to rebuild your Ooma profile.
