What happened to my second number?

Post by mhowie » Fri May 29, 2009 8:57 pm

I recently had my number ported to my longtime home phone number (porting was completed earlier today). I was advised by a ooma CSR that the temporary phone # I had been using while the porting activity was in process would automatically become my second number (premier member). When I checked tonight, that number was no longer recognized- both when I attempted to dial it and from within my ooma lounge account properties page.

Did the CSR misinform me earlier or has there been some glitch associated with my transition?

Thanks,

Glitch. The default is to discard the temporary number. You have to specifically request that it become your second number. Call them and they should be able to get the number back for you. Do not use email.

Glitch indeed. It was still registered but for some reason was inactive. A phone call to them did the trick.
