New version of My Ooma, Voicemail Notification and Core

Post by ww4397 » Sat Aug 15, 2015 7:02 am

Hi, I've been getting prompted to switch to the new My Ooma. I've not done so yet because I believe there is an omission for Voicemail Notification for Core service level accounts. I've been with Ooma for over 5 years and still using original Core/Scout equipment. I do not see any section in the new My Ooma web site to manage Voicemail Forwarding. In the old My Ooma there is an area of the site where I can enter the email address(s)/phone number(s) for the notification emails/texts to be sent. Until this is added to the new My Ooma, I can't make the switch.

Note that the Voicemail Notification feature is part of the Core service level:

Thanks.

Click on add notification and then choose sms or email:

I have Telo with Premier, so maybe your page looks different. Although, as you mentioned, you should have that feature.

ww4397, it appears you haven't logged into the new site for a while as 911 T&C haven't been accepted yet.

Hi Tom B, I last logged into an earlier beta version. I did not click on anything that seemed "permanent" for fear of losing the ability to return to the old My Ooma. I was able to use the site without restrictions. That version did not have Voicemail Notification available to me.

However, based on your response today, I did log in and accepted the terms and 911. This time I was not able use the site without accepting the terms. I'm happy to report that Voicemail Notification IS now available! Thanks.

Checking on the 911 Alert feature (under Preferences) that is also available at the Core level, I'm getting:

E911 Notification is unavailable.

Would be able to check into that?

Thanks.

You can switch back and forth as much as you like. No worries. :)

E911 notify is not available on core. I've asked to have this chart corrected: http://support.ooma.com/home/feature-co ... emier-core

Referenced chart indicates Enhanced Caller-ID is available on Core?

"The Enhanced Caller-ID feature is available to all Ooma Premier subscribers."

Same for Anonymous call blocking.

"Anonymous call blocking is only available to Ooma Premier customers."

Anonymous call blocking should be available to Core but MyOoma is blocking it. Escalated with web team.
Enhanced Caller-ID is available to Core.

Core is a legacy category specifially dealt with in this chart. Other content on the website may not always distinguish between Premier and Core.
