Voicemail, but no entry in call log

Post by Telo_BK » Tue Sep 08, 2015 9:50 am

I received a "noise" voice message from 701-805-0030 this morning. It sounded like someone was messing with the phone line. (I did that a lot myself while I was learning to design phone equipment years ago, but I was messing with my own line.) But there is no log entry for this call.

I think I know what that might be: privacy settings. Do you have blocked calls going to voice mail? I know when I did mysterious calls would appear with no log notation.

I think this is an oversight and there should be a log for blocked calls.

I'm having a similar issue.

I've got two lines. They both seem to take voice mails without a problem.

However, the call logs only record calls to one line, not the other.

Is there a way to fix this so that the call logs cover both lines?

It's because you have two separate ring groups.

You need to log into My Ooma using the other number to view calls from that number.

The only fix is to have both phone numbers in the same account.

Okay, thanks.

I thought both of my numbers were on the same account (that's how they are billed).

You said you had "two lines." To have separate ring groups, you would need to have created a private account.

Insileas, you have 2 phone numbers but they are both in the main ring group. Currently only calls that reach the telo will appear in the call logs. So you find a call log for calls that are blocked at the server, e.g. are sent to voicemail.

Shouldn't all calls be in the "Call Logs" ?!?

we're working hard to make that happen - blacklist enhancements also depend on this
