Ooma carrier regularly lost

Approximately every 2-3 days, my Ooma modem drops its dial tone. It has to be power cycled to restore the connection. The specific symptoms are
1) Blue light. No dial tone.
2) Power cycling and 5 minutes or so later, operation is restored.
Why does the modem stop working and what can I do about it? Thanks!
