Feature Request for complete exchange white-listing

Post by mhenning » Thu Aug 09, 2018 8:58 am

Good Day.

I am a home user working out of my home office.
I use the Block All Numbers not in my contacts because the spammers just keep getting through without that level of protection.

I work for a medium-sized company with several offices throughout the nation. All of these offices have their own PBXs and therefore their own exchange, so if a number from 555-555-**** comes in, I know that it is from one of my offices and thus is ok.

For OOMA to work the way I need it to run to effectively block spam callers, one of two things need to be added:
1) an exchange white-list
2) a wild-card character allowed in Contacts
This is a service I would be wiling to pay for in addition to Premier, though if it were added to Premier I'm sure there are others in a similar situation. This would be a feature you could promote to home office users and gain market share.

In the meantime I will probably have to set up an asterisk server and set up my own white-listing algorithm.
