Blocking by name
If I want to block by name, would I block BUENA PARK, CA or BUENAPARKCA?
Re: Blocking by name
Neither. The block list editor doesn't accept names that contain commas. It also trims any leading/trailing spaces, but the name must match the correct number of spaces between words. Use the browser's "view page source" command (usually <ctrl>-u or <cmd>-u), or else export the call logs to a file, to see them all. For example, with two spaces before "CA", the matching name might look like:
Ooma describes other options, such as how to block names that start with "BUENA PARK", or end with " CA".
I recently started getting calls where the name looks like "City,State" -- with no spaces after the comma. I can't use commas to block names that end with ",State", so I have to block names that start with "City" instead. That's too bad, because there are a lot more names of cities, than names of states.
Code: Select all
"BUENA PARK CA"
