Re: Number On Blacklist NOT Blocked
My goodness, does anyone from Ooma montitor this forum? I've received no response from e-mail nor my posts here on the forum. I'm a premiere customer, and am paying for this service. Telephone support in the Phillipines is worthless. What is going on?! Is Ooma on the edge of going under?

BUMP
It would be nice if someone from Ooma would fix an issue that I am paying for yet does not work any longer. I think waiting more than 5 days is completely, and utterly unacceptable. No e-mail, no forum post, NOTHING!

Re: Number On Blacklist NOT Blocked
Here's what I would do in your case. I would make a list of my efforts to communicate with Ooma tech support either by phone or by email and their response, if any. I would send that list and a description of the problem, your phone number and MAC address with a link to this thread by PM to one of the Ooma moderators on this forum, I suggest ntoy as he's been involved a lot in service issues here lately. I expect you will receive a prompt response.networkingman wrote:BUMP

You hijacked someone else's thread and are complaining because you didn't get a response. This is a user to user forum. We can give you advice if you state your problem in detail. The forum moderators (Dennis P, Bobby B, and ntoy) check in from time to time but they are Ooma employees and can't spend their whole day on here answering questions. They have their real jobs to do. Start a new thread and describe your problem in detail. If any of us know how to fix it we will tell you how. If you don't get a response, that means we don't know the answer for your problem and you will have to call customer support.networkingman wrote:BUMP

I think your complaint is that blacklists are not working. If you have an integrated land line, blacklists do not work at the present time. It is on their list to implement I think.

I haven't hijacked anyone's thread so relax. My problem is quite similar. I have already created another thread, 5 days ago with no response from the Mods. I think waiting a week is more than sufficient don't you? I don't have an integrated land line and this all started with this update of their site. I've called customer support which is in the Philippines, and they were worthless. I've even sent an e-mail. I think I have been very patient with the lack of response from Ooma. So before you go off on someone, why don't you take the time to read what is going on and do not assume that everyone comes to the forums for their single source to resolve issues.murphy wrote:You hijacked someone else's thread and are complaining because you didn't get a response. And thank you "Groundhound" for your advice. I'll try that, heck I'll try anything at this point.
Re: Number On Blacklist NOT Blocked
I hope this is not a case where someone within the company, a mole if you will, is trying to sabotage this feature for the sake of another company or telemarketers or whatever.
Call me paranoid, but I've seen where in my previous job, we found out we had 'spies' from another company taking company trade secrets to another company.
OOMA is the only one that does this feature and I know a lot of companies hate that OOMA has this available for consumers to control their calls.

It makes you wonder. I also notice the Mods are answering other questions and have skipped thread dealing with the Blacklist. I'll even take one of them saying, "An update is coming, sorry about the delay."whn wrote:I hope this is not a case where someone within the company, a mole if you will, is trying to sabotage this feature for the sake of another company or telemarketers or whatever.

But silence just makes it worse.

I sincerely hope I'm wrong and just a huge glitch after they switched to this current "Ruby on Rails" interface.networkingman wrote:It makes you wonder. Everything was working fine, the blacklist feature that is, before they switched over to this.
They really needed a BETA version of MY OOMA before switching over to this.
I hope there isn't as mentioned, a mole employee(s) within, this stuff happens more than you think in a lot of start up companies with venture capital involved.

Oh I know it definitely happens, sure hope not. I want Ooma to continue and one of the reasons I took a "gamble" with going to them was the Blacklist option that they have. I get SO many telemarketing/unwanted calls and it's sure nice to silence them with the Blacklist. Again, I don't get the Mods skipping over all of the Blacklist threads. Just weird.
