You don't need a wall jack. Use a single phone cable to connect the Scout directly to the Hub.

I'm afraid I am out of desk space, but if I were to put the phone wire to the scout instead of to the Dect 6 main phone, then how would I connect the phone system and get it to the printer/fax?

The phone jack on the Hub is connected to the DECT 6 cordless phone system. The wall jack on the Hub is connected to the wall jack on the Scout by a direct phone cable. The phone jack on the Scout is connected to the fax machine.

Or, more likely to work.

Still connect the wall jack of the Hub directly to the wall jack of the Scout.
Connect the fax machine to the phone jack on the Hub.
Connect the DECT 6 cordless phone to the phone jack on the Scout.

The jacks labelled Wall do not have to actually connect to a wall.

I surely do not understand as much as you, but I thought the scout was a repeater for the dialtone the hub puts out into the dead phone wiring, which is why I thought I could go directly from the hub to the fax. I will make room just to test. Thanks again!
