DP1 Desk Phone - Low Handset Volume

Post by TeamApple » Tue Aug 07, 2018 4:08 am

I recently purchased the DP1 desk phone for use on the Telo. Right away I noticed the handset volume is way too low even when the volume is set to maximum. Its almost too low to be usable with typical household noise. I have read where another DP1 user has reported the same issue.

When will Ooma issue an update to correct this?

TeamApple, I emailed Tom this morning explaining the issue and asked if there was a way he could send an update to fix the issue.
I'll follow up with you when I receive a response.

HI TeamApple, So I got a quick no frills response from Tom saying the following:
"Engineering is working on fixing the handset frequency response."
I can remember back in 2009 when testing the first Telo for ooma I would communicate back and forth with Dennis P from ooma who would at least be more detailed in his answer.
This is a direct result of a company that is growing and they start to loose that personal appeal.
That response was literally all he wrote. No thank you for your input, nothing.

Hopefully “handset frequency response” is synonymous with handset volume and they fix it sooner than later.

Thanks for the update.
