“Searching for Base Unit”

Post by TeamApple » Thu Oct 11, 2018 8:09 am

All three of my Ooma devices, two HD3 handsets and a DP1, go to “searching for base station” anytime the phones or Telo restart. This means during updates all my phones become inoperable. By design the devices should reconnect to the Telo automatically but mine aren’t.

1) Why is this happening?

2) How do I fix it?

That would bug me too. I would ship those Ooma phones back and get a nice 2 line Panasonic cordless system like I have. I use a Linx to feed the second line to my Panasonic base station. The Linx is very reliable although sometimes I get some static.

I am using the Telo One and the updates for that model ended in October of last year. Don't know if there will be more in the future, but for right now there are apparently no bugs to patch.
