My brother has had his Ooma Telo with Basic service for over one year now. He was wondering what would happen if his Telo broke? Tell me if this is correct. I said that he would need to buy a new Telo and get the new Telo activated to replace his old broken Telo. The only cost to him would be the cost of the new Telo. His service would continue like before. Nothing would change.

That's correct. But to activate the new Telo, he'd need to call customer service and not do it online.
