Telo locks up frequently

I purchased a refurbished Telo from Woot about three months ago. It works great except for the fact that it locks up every day or two at random times. When the unit is locked up, there is no Oooma dialtone, and the Telo unit will be completely unresponsive to button presses. The only way to restore service is to pull the power and force the unit to reboot. I have great internet service with plenty of bandwidth (18Mbs down/ 3Mbs up). I followed the advice on the board and set the unit to use the internal MAC address. Nothing has helped. The unit currently sits behind my cable modem and router. The only thing I have found to do, is to reboot the unit first thing in the morning, then it seems to be good for the rest of the day. This seems like a firmware programming bug, however I could be mistaken. Could this be a hardware issue? Should I try to exchange the unit? I'd appreciate any thoughts about what the problem could be, or if anyone else has experienced a similar problem.

Thanks!

That could be a power supply problem, an overheating problem, or a hardware problem.
Turn the lights to one notch above off to see if it makes a difference.

BoilerMaker86:
Sounds like you have a defective Ooma device. Since you should have a one year warrenty for your Ooma device, I'd contact Ooma Customer support and see if you can get a replacement Ooma device. Ooma will send a replacement Ooma device shipping prepaid. They will also sent a prepaid shipping label to return the defective Ooma device.

In my experience the Telo handsets are cheap junk, all of mine have had various problems with overheating, or locking up, or not ringing. Yes I've had one replaced, same issues. They are poorly designed and cheaply made.

I sure hope the new models are a much higher quality. Other than the Telo handsets I've been pretty happy with Ooma.
