A few days ago I went through your instructions for connecting to the Ooma hub via Windows networking. I am using Win7 so it is pretty straightforward.

I am still NOT able to connect to this hub. I have not been able to connect to it ever since Ooma tech support attempted a remote firmware upgrade. I believe this hub is dead and I don't know what to do -- Hopefully Ooma tech support will swap out my hub for a replacement.
Not sure if you said you see no activity light on the Ooma's "home" port when you connect a PC to it...

Usually, even if your Ooma is not online, if powered up, you can access the Ooma setup page via http://172.27.35.1 or http://setup.ooma.com (make sure the PC/laptop you are trying to access the Ooma setup page doesn't have WiFi enabled)

But in case your "home" port is still working and something else weird is happening with your Ooma device, maybe you can force the issue a bit and try the manual way of connecting to the Ooma device.

Power up your Ooma (don't need Ooma to be connected to anything like router or modem), connect a PC/laptop to the "home" port using ethernet cable (make sure WiFi on computer is turned off). Get to the TCP/IP Properties of your computer's network adapter and do the following:

Then, try connecting to Ooma setup by surfing to http://172.27.35.1

If success, do port 80 forward of your Ooma device so you can get to it in the future without connecting anything to the "home" port if you end up with modem/router/ooma config. viewtopic.php?t=11921#p83732

If success, then it is just a matter of getting your Ooma device online. thunderbird talked about this in his earlier post: viewtopic.php?&t=13709&start=0#p95469
