Ooma does not currently have any call block options.

I personally use a cordless phone that has a built in call-block feature:

This one:

Also, an alternative will be this device:

I have a friend who has Verizon as their local phone company. If he calls me and he blocks his caller ID my phone rings once and give a message about a "forbidden" call. It seems that my Ooma is blocking anonymous phone calls??? I like it!!!

I just read the Oct. 29 press release and it mentions personal and community blacklists as a feature. I don't see that feature in the ooma Lounge. What am I missing here?

Call Logs, Personal and Community Blacklist — Via the ooma Lounge, users can access information on incoming and outgoing calls and based on this data, add specific phone numbers to a blacklist. By adding a phone number to a personal or community blacklist, in-bound calls from a “blacklisted” caller will be not be connected to the ooma phone system.

Blacklists will be in the final phase of the feature rollout mentioned in the press release. It should be available around the beginning of December. We'll post to the forum when it is about to hit.

Sounds great! Being able to block calls from the lounge before they come through would be awesome!

I'd also like to see a custom Caller ID feature. Allow Ooma customers to create their own caller ID list so when you add a phone number you can also add a custom name to show up when the person calls, i.e. "Grandma", "Mom", "Uncle Frank", etc...
