Thanks for your assistance. Here are the answers to your questions:

No.thunderbird wrote:Is your Ooma Telo positioned at least three to four feet away from all other electrical and/or electronic devices?
I have never been able to "hit" Ooma's "Home Page". Ooma gets 192.168.1.19 assigned to it from the Router, but ports 80 or 443 aren't being listened on.thunderbird wrote:If the Ooma is connected Modem-Ooma-Router, maybe the Ooma Setup, Advanced page, Quality of Service upstream speed needs to be set up a little??

Yes. The handsets work fine, when used without a headset, but I use headsets 98% of the time.thunderbird wrote:So your HD2 handsets work fine just using the HD2 handsets for making calls?
If you are asking if, when I use a headset, caller's say they can't hear me because I'm not loud enough, then the answer is yes.thunderbird wrote:But when you connect a headset to the HD2 handset jack, you have the problem of low headset mike output?

Connect a computer to the Ooma's Home port. If the computer has wireless capability, turn it off.rasa7777 wrote:I have never been able to "hit" Ooma's "Home Page". Ooma gets 192.168.1.19 assigned to it from the Router, but ports 80 or 443 aren't being listened on.
Connect to
http://setup.ooma.com
If that doesn't work because you are using one of the specialty DNS services like OpenDNS
Connect to
http://172.27.35.1
Set up a forwarding rule to forward port 80 to 172.27.35.1
Once that is done you will be able to connect using the 192.168.1.19 address.

The low Mike volume level heard on the other side of the phone conversation from your headset call, is caused by using a low impedance mike.
But most phone headsets do use low impedance mikes.
So probably Ooma will make firmware changes to correct this problem.
Have you checked your firmware version lately for any updates.
I haven't heard anything from Tony C. yet, but you could call Ooma and see if there is a later firmware version, and if so, have it pushed out to your Ooma Telo to corect your problem.

We are working on a fix for the mic issue with external headsets. It will be rolled out as a software upgrade.

Re: HD2 volume levels are either too loud or too quiet
FYI,
Today I tested 4 different headsets with the following new firmwares that were pushed to me recently:
BASE Version: 63162 (was 63045, and before that 62596)
HS version: 63034 (was 63023, and before that 62596)
RFP version: 63077 (was 63003, and before that 62780)
All callers reported the same problems: they can't hear me due to low volume, and my voice sounds "garbled" or "digitized".
Switching to a non-Ooma handset solved the problems.
I will check the firmware versions daily, and if I see a new one pushed to me, I will test and report in this thread.

Re: HD2 volume levels are either too loud or too quiet
rasa7777, OT question, what's your favortie/most comfy/best quality 2.5mm headset intended for prolonged use, for conference alls for example?
Re: HD2 volume levels are either too loud or too quiet
Can you post the make/model of the headsets you are using? Are you using a jack adapter of any kind or are they natively the correct size?rasa7777 wrote:FYI,
