Ooma Replacement Power Adapters
Re: Ooma Replacement Power Adapters
My Ooma Telo power supply went bad. It still read 5.1 VDC output, but didn't work. I used a friend's Ooma Telo power supply from a working system (which also read 5.1 VDC) and it worked, so I knew it was my power supply. I cracked the power supply open on the seam with a screw driver. I found two bulging capacitors near the cord (680 uF radial 16V 105C). Replaced them. Put the plastic case back on, holding it together with a tightly wound rubber band and tested it. After confirming a successful Ooma boot up, I unplugged it, took off the rubber band and glued the case back together with a glue for plastic. Cost of caps were about $0.20.

+1 Same exact problem.
I got USB adapter cable to use with a spare 2A brick. I’ll post the results tomorrow.

Re: Ooma Replacement Power Adapters
Does anyone know where I can find a 3.8x1.35mm plug?
I am using a Poe extractor, but the 3.5mm plug does not work. So, I am thinking to change the plug. But so far I could not find such a plug
