Flashing red flower but phone and net fine

Happened to notice the red (or pink, have not see anything I would call purple) flower flashing rapidly. As I am writing this via the net, that is working. I did a test call using Ooma and all was fine. Is this something to be concerned about? Flashing red (or pink) usually indicates a problem, right?

Try rebooting the adapter (remove power for 30 seconds and reconnect.) It could be that it was doing a firmware update - I caught mine doing that.

There's an open bug for this. It's hard to reproduce but when done booting the telo can fail to turn off the blinking logo. It's a benign failure. Simply power cycle the telo again to clear it.

Not sure if this is the same problem.... I have a Blinking Purple and Blue System Status with a chirping sound; what is this? I just installed the Ooma Wireless Adapter to the new unit. It’s usually on the blue status, but it blinks purple and a short beeping sound and turns back to blue status every few minutes. Any pointers?

Your forum account email is associated with an Ooma account that has an Ooma Hub, not an Ooma Telo. Please update your email.

I got a new Ooma Telo for the inlaws... just installed it yesterday for them. Just trying to work out the bugs. Any suggestions on this issue? Thanks

For the porting questions please contact support. As for the blinking. The touch panel is picking up key presses. Check if there's anything near the telo that may be interfering with the touch panel. If not let me know and we can try something else.

You can turn off the sound effects by dialing *#*#511.
