speed- client receive buffer

Post by Walt » Tue Jun 09, 2009 4:41 am

I used this site for a speed test..........
http://ndt.iupui.nuq01.measurement-lab.org:7123/
Test was pretty good, but this line was in the statistics...
Increasing the clients receive buffer (250.0) will improve service.

Not having my PhD in computer science, I haven't a clue as to what to do.

In Ooma Setup, Advanced, I have my upstream set at 700Kbps, the downsteam at 0 and the Reserved bandwith at 130.

Do any of there qualify as a receive buffer?

TIA, Walt

In the VOIP world receive is download, however i'm not sure what your QOS settings should be.
(I have no QOS enabled and a high speed FIOS line and have no voice quality issues whatsoever)
I'm sure someone else here will be able to help with your QOS
