Incoming ooma calls won't stop ringing on cell.

I have (now had) my incoming calls set to ring my cell, but when a call comes in and I decide not to answer it, primarily because I notice that it's a scammer calling, the cell just keeps right on ringing once the scammer hangs up. To make matters worse, I then can't just answer the call to shut it up. It just won't let me. Only way to stop the ringing is to restart the phone. Any one else ever have this problem? I've since disabled ooma until I can get this issue sorted out.

It's ringing on my cell which has the ooma app on it. Once I went into settings and set it to stop accepting ooma inbound calls the issue went away, so obviously it was an issue with the app.

This just happened to me. The phone kept ringing for several minutes, displaying an obvious scammer phone number (14 digits starting with 355). I had to restart the phone to make it stop. It left no record of the call in the Ooma app or in my iPhone's telephone app. In searching the forum and on Google, I have found no answer as to why this occurs or how to stop it. Any updates?

Quick update from me. The following morning when I checked my call logs, the number was there. But it had to be at least an hour after I rebooted my phone, as I had checked it before going to be that night and it still wasn't there. Meanwhile, I've disabled ringing my cell phone when the Ooma number rings. It's a potentially nice feature, but I don't really ever want to have this problem again.

The same thing happens to me in iPadOS. The call keeps ringing indefinitely. To stop the ringing I have to decline the call in the notification.

Cheers

How is this is still an issue in 2023!?!?

I have been using the Ooma App to answer calls when I'm away from the office or working remotely. Until now the App has been a godsend. As of 2 days ago any calls that ring to my cell through the Ooma App are causing the phone to ring non-stop. It doesn't matter if the call is answered on a desk phone or via the app on my cell, if the call rings through to the App it will incessantly ring even while I'm literally on the call that my phone is alerting me about.

Since the call is answered, there is no notification with which to "decline the call" on my cell. Hitting the volume down and power buttons doesn't silence it like it would for any other incoming calls. I have to reboot my phone to stop the Ooma App from ringing. The Application Ringtone is enabled, so I know for sure it is Ooma and not a personal call ringing in.

App version: Ooma Office 6.2.0 (508831)
Call mode: VoIP

Add another one to the list...
It does it to me also, but not every call.

THE FIX
Since I don't see any solutions to this problem posted, I'm going to detail what steps Tech Support walked me through so anyone else who wants to know how to "fix" this issue can do it without having to call. Please note I am a business user.

1. Uninstall the Ooma mobile app from the device that is having this issue.
2. Login to your Ooma admin account on a desktop web browser.
3. Settings > Extensions > Gear icon on the Extension having issues.
4. Under the "Devices" tab for that extension, remove the problematic mobile device from your extension, Save.
5. Click the Gear icon on the Extension > Devices tab > Add a mobile device.
6. Follow the prompts to install the mobile app that is appropriate for your mobile device, Save.
7. Login to the mobile app with your Ooma credentials & extension #.
8. Allow Ooma mobile app to send alerts.

Following these steps seems to have resolved the non-stop ringing / missing decline call notification for me, ymmv.

There is still significant lag between the desktop VoIP phone ringing and the mobile app ringing, but the mobile app does eventually stop ringing if you don't decline the call on the mobile device.
