Re: Ooma updates, when and how are they done...........
I hope this thread is still alive. Can I also get the firmware on my telo updated to the latest version? Having issues with the telo not hanging up when the phone is hung up. I was told this issue was fixed in an updated firmware version. Thank you.

How do you get to see the firmware revision of your ooma telo? I'm used to having a web interface of a thing, but I didn't come across instruction on how to do that anywhere...

Re: Ooma updates, when and how are they done...........
Anyone know if a Telo update was pushed-out around 2:30 a.m. PST this morning? (March 14, 2020)
Also, about how long is the phone line dead while an update is being performed?
My home security system had a fit (again; ~two months ago too), and I'm now suspecting such was the cause.

Re: Ooma updates, when and how are they done...........
Does your security system not have a log to tell you exactly what the problem was?
My Honywell Ademco system does.
My system is set to not monitor the phone line because if the phone line is down it can't report the problem.
Updates are pushed out over a few weeks. They can't update everyone at the same time.
The update is pushed to the Telo. When the download is complete the Telo reboots to switch to the new version.
The line is down for however long it takes the Telo to reboot and re-establish the VPN to Ooma.

Thanks for the info.
Yes, it does record the latest events, but not so much these past two. That's what's making it challenging to find.
Yes, it does check the phone line and did alarm if down over a certain time limit.
I see the (PITA) procedure above to check the Telo unit itself for what version (and when updated); sure seems that the MyOoma website could easily provide that info.
