Ooma security certificate error using Firefox.......
I check my Ooma setup page [https://setup.ooma.com/home.lp] twice daily to look at status, lights, and if an update was done.
Now tonight I get the following message:
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to setup.ooma.com because this website requires a secure connection.
What can you do about it?
setup.ooma.com has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site.
The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Everything was fine this morning.
This is done using my desktop to access the Ooma box, and has worked flawlessly for years.
Any ideas ?.............
Thanks

Re: Ooma security certificate error using Firefox.......
Verify that the date and time on your computer are correct.
I can access both of my Telos with Firefox.
Try 172.27.35.1 instead of setup.ooma.com
Use http instead of https

Hi murphy;
I hoped you'd read this and have an answer....
Date and time are good.
Dropping the "s" did not help.
Using the 172.27.35.1 worked.
I upgraded on 9-11-19 to Firefox V 69.0, I wonder if that caused the issue.
The same day I noticed that the Ooma version jumped from [5-1-2019] 414894 to 438661.
I've noticed changes in the way Firefox works, like the new "tracking attempts blocked".
Hopefully this is the workaround for this issue.
It is nice to have everything status quo.
Thanks again.

Re: Ooma security certificate error using Firefox.......
I have Firefox 69.0 and Telo version 438661.
I did not have the problem.
Maybe we can blame it on the full moon on Friday the 13th.
The difference between setup.ooma.com and 172.27.35.1 is that the first requires an access to a DNS to look up the IP address while the second does not.

Re: Ooma security certificate error using Firefox.......
Good Morning Murphy;
All works as it did before, no more errors.
I noticed Saturday morning that it still gave the error message when trying to access the page.
Unknown what changed now on Monday morning.
Reading the post below caused me to recheck and see if it things are working again.
