Wireless adapter

Post by Doorpro » Sat Nov 09, 2019 7:26 pm

Hi all,

I am having trouble with the installation of the Ooma wireless adapter. When searching for WiFi signals Ooma detects a dozen close signals around me but not mine from my iPhone's hotspot. Everything in the house both detects and uses the hotspots WiFi but I cannot get Ooma the find it. Please help.

Regards,
Doug.

Make sure the hot spot is on 2.4 GHz and not 5 GHz.

Well now, it seams that I cannot make my iPhone 8+ use the 2.4ghz band so does Ooma make a wireless adapter that uses the 5ghz band also because at the moment I'm screwed. It weird because every time I hook something up to the hotspot is is so effortless yet this darned thing wont even se the network signal...

Ok, I bought the new Ooma Air 2 with a built in wireless adapter that utilizes the 5ghz waveband and finally got a good signal to my system. Thank you all.
