How To Find Out Ooma ID on Home Network

Post by dabour » Thu Mar 19, 2020 4:20 pm

I want to find out what network name and IP address my Ooma device is using on my home network. Why? Because my wireless router allows me to prioritize traffic and I want to add my Ooma for that. Doesn't anyone know how to find that out? I've looked and the network map my router is displaying (Linksys) and nothing is obvious.

Thanks in advance!

Connect a computer to the Home jack.
If the computer has wireless capability, disable the wireless.
Connect to http://172.27.35.1

All of the data you need is in the available screens.

Also the MAC address for the "To Internet" jack is 1 higher, in hexadecimal arithmetic, that the MAC address on the label on the bottom of the unit.

One way would be to take note of the devices. Disconnect the Telo from your network, and see which one disappears, then reconnect and verify what reconnects.

My teleo has the MAC address on the bottom of the unit. That should identify the Ooma in your router's client list.
