New Telo, Not Connecting to Centurylink Fiber in setup

I just changed internet service from Xfinity to Centurylink Fiber and decided to add Ooma phone. Cannot get the Telo to connect to the internet. Only had it one day, never connected to internet. It is giving two flashing red lights. Called customer service, they could only suggest that the firewall on this internet service was set to too high. I went into the admin settings of the Centurylink and the firewall was set to low. Still did not resolve the connectivity issues. Ooma customer service just gave up and basically good lucked me off the phone. Anyone have any ideas to get it working?
Thanks
Thanks

Is the Centurylink box a modem or a gateway (modem and router in same box)?
If it is a modem have you provided your own router?
Is the Telo wired or wireless?
It is very difficult to give recommendations when I don't know what your setup is.

Re: New Telo, Not Connecting to Centurylink Fiber in setup
Hello,
It is a modem and router in same box. They have the fiber going into that ONT box or whatever they call it and then an ethernet connection into their wifi router/modem which has four ethernet ports on the back. So, the Telo is wired to their router. I had purchased and set up a Telo for my grandparents (same Centurylink service) and it worked right out of the box two years ago. So, not sure what might be different here.

Connect a computer via a cable to the Home jack. If the computer has wireless capability, disable it.
Connect to
http://172.27.35.1
That is the web page inside of the Telo.
Is the Telo set to get an IP address via DHCP?
Does the Telo have an IP address?
What is listed as working and not working.
Note that it can take a new Telo up to an hour to come online because it very likely has to download and install the latest firmware.

Re: New Telo, Not Connecting to Centurylink Fiber in setup
OK,
The technician I spoke with today directed me to this same site (which he could not figure out the issue and directed me to "shieldlock.com" to verify if I had a firewall).
I am not the most tech savvy guy so I will describe what I seen on the screen.
1. Under the internet settings tab, it showed connection type as DHCP, but no static IP address showing (no numbers showing on this page except the Port MAC address towards the bottom).
2. You asked if the Telo has an IP address, not sure where I would see that. I see under the device status tab, it shows:
NETWORK:
a. Internet Port: connected with an IP address
b. Home Port: connected with the 172.27.35.1 address showing
c. Tunnel: connected
APPLICATIONS:
a. telephony: running
b. DNS: running
c. Webserver: running
d. VPN: running
e. Free Memory: 135272
DHCP LEASES:
Shows a timestamp, the MAC address, and and IP address
Not sure if I helped at all, but trying to describe what I see
